How do I calculate a discount?
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage (divided by 100) and subtract from the original. For example, 20% off $50 = $50 - ($50 x 0.20) = $40.
Can I calculate tax on top of the discount?
This calculator shows the discounted price. To add tax, multiply the final price by (1 + tax rate). For example, $40 with 8% tax = $40 x 1.08 = $43.20.
